It Started in a Small Shop in Jhunjhunu

Long before Vadyaroot existed, there was a small Ayurvedic ingredients shop in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan — run by Sorav Pandey's father. It wasn't a glamorous place. It was a working shop, full of dried roots, powders, and the earthy smell of herbs that had been trusted for generations.

Sorav grew up in that shop. Not as a customer — as a student. He watched his father explain each herb to buyers, saw which ones people came back for, and slowly absorbed a knowledge that no classroom could teach. By the time he was old enough to ask questions, he already knew the answers.

But one question stayed with him: "If these herbs have worked for centuries, why are people still choosing medicines that only work while you take them — and leave behind problems of their own?"

Then Came Prashant — and Everything Clicked

Sorav had the knowledge. What he needed was a partner who shared the same fire. That's when Prashant Dhar Dwivedi entered the picture — from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a city with its own deep connection to traditional wellness and Ayurvedic culture.

The two connected over a shared frustration: watching people around them — family, friends, neighbours — cycle through modern medicines that offered temporary relief but no real resolution. People who had been taking tablets for years, still suffering, still dependent.

Together, Sorav and Prashant decided to do something about it. Vadyaroot was born — not as a business idea first, but as a conviction. That India deserves better. That Ayurveda, done right, can deliver lasting relief without compromise.

We source directly from Khari Baoli, Delhi — one of Asia's oldest and most respected herb and spice markets. No middlemen. No compromises. We hand-select ingredients the same way Sorav's father did — by knowing what quality actually looks, smells, and feels like.

Every Vadyaroot product is manufactured at a GMP-certified, AYUSH-registered, and FSSAI-licensed facility in Sonipat, Haryana. We partner with a trusted third-party manufacturer who meets the same exacting standards we hold ourselves to.
